Privacy Policy
What Hven collects, what it does with it, and your rights.
1. Who we are
Hven is operated by FortiGuardian Consulting (United Kingdom). For any privacy enquiry, email info@hven.io.
2. What Hven does
Hven checks how AI assistants talk about your business. Each week we ask AI tools the questions your customers ask, record the public answers, and show you where you appear, where you don’t, and what to do about it. Nothing installs on your website, and we collect no data about your website’s visitors.
3. What data we collect
- Account data you provide — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash, never in plain text), plus the same for team members you invite.
- Brand information you provide — your brand name, website, social handles, market and profile details, and the rivals you choose to track.
- Data generated by your checks — the public AI answers we collect about your market, and the scores, citations, and recommendations we derive from them.
- Correspondence — emails you send us.
4. How we use it
- To run your weekly checks. The questions we ask — which include your business name and market — are sent to the AI providers listed in the sub-processor table on our security page, some of which operate outside the UK/EU, including in the United States and China.
- To send you account and product emails (verification, reports, notifications you can manage in settings).
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Who receives it
The third-party services that help us run Hven are listed, with what each one handles, in the sub-processor table on our security page. That table — including regions and transfer details — is being finalised as part of the same rewrite as this page.
6. Your rights (UK / EU)
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have the following rights over your personal data:
- Right of access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data.
- Right to data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to lodge a complaint — with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or your local EU data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@hven.io. We respond within the statutory timeframe (one month).
7. Cookies and browser storage
Hven sets no cookies. Your signed-in session is a token kept in your browser’s localStorage. The full breakdown is in our Cookie Policy.
8. Where your data lives
Our application runs on Railway; storage locations and regions per provider are set out (and currently being confirmed) on our security page.
9. Updates
We will update this policy as the formal rewrite completes, and change the date at the top when we do. Material changes will be notified to active account holders by email.
