Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2026

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website when you visit it. They serve various functions — from keeping you logged in, to remembering your preferences, to helping website owners understand how their site is used.

2. How Hven uses cookies

Hven uses a minimal set of cookies to operate the platform. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not share cookie data with third-party advertisers.

3. Essential cookies (always active)

These cookies are strictly necessary for the Hven application to function. They cannot be disabled while using the Service.

Cookie / Storage key Purpose Duration
intentify.auth.token Stores your authentication token (JWT) in localStorage so you remain logged in across browser sessions. Until you sign out or token expires (30 min by default)
intentify.onboarding Stores your onboarding progress locally so the setup guide remembers which steps you have completed. Persistent (until cleared)
hven_last_site Remembers which site you last selected in the dashboard so it is pre-selected on your next visit. Persistent (until cleared)

Note: The items above are stored in localStorage (not HTTP cookies), but are functionally equivalent to session cookies for the purposes of this policy.

4. Analytics cookies

Hven does not currently use any third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or Mixpanel) on the hven.io domain. We analyse platform usage through our own first-party server-side logging.

5. Your website visitors and the Hven tracker snippet

When you install the Hven tracker snippet on your website, it sets a first-party cookie on your visitors' browsers to maintain session continuity. This cookie:

  • Is set on your domain (not on hven.io)
  • Is used solely to distinguish unique visitors and link page views within a session
  • Does not track visitors across other websites
  • Contains only an anonymous session identifier — no personal data

As the website owner, you are responsible for disclosing the use of this cookie in your own privacy policy and obtaining consent where required by applicable law (e.g., UK PECR, EU ePrivacy Directive).

6. Third-party cookies from your integrations

Hven itself does not introduce any third-party advertising or tracking cookies. However, if you integrate third-party tools (such as live chat widgets, payment forms, or social sharing buttons) into your website alongside the Hven snippet, those tools may set their own cookies. We have no control over third-party cookies introduced by your own site or integrations.

7. How to control cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling essential cookies (see Section 3) may prevent you from logging in to the Hven application.

  • Google Chrome cookie settings
  • Firefox cookie settings
  • Safari cookie settings
  • Microsoft Edge cookie settings

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we use cookies. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made.

9. Contact
